Svetlana Lavochkina is a Ukrainian-born, internationally published novelist, poet and literary translator. She has lived in Germany since 1999. Lavochkina was a prize winner in the Paris Literary Prize, The Winged Lion Literary Prize, Lviv, and finalist in Tibor Jones Pageturner Prize, London. Since the onset of war, Lavochkina has been continuously raising awareness of Ukraine in germanophone mass media.
