Wenn der Junge das Telefon abnimmt, meldet er sich mit seinem vollen Namen. Manche Anrufer, die seine Mutter sprechen wollen, sind belustigt und ahmen ihn nach, als h\u00e4tte der Junge in kindlicher Selbstverliebtheit etwas gesungen, das einz\u00e4rtliches Echo verdient. Wenn er seinen ganzen Namen ausspricht, kommt er auf neun Silben. Sie haben nicht nur Klang, sondern auch Rhythmus. Wie eine Wellenbewegung. Aber das ist nicht der Grund, warum er den Mund so voll nimmt; es ist der Versuch, sein Schicksal abzuschw\u00e4chen. Sein zweiter Vorname, das ist seine Hoffnung, soll die Exotik seines ersten Vornamens mildern: Ijoma Alexander Mangold.

Wenn man es so betrachtet, steht es eigentlich zwei zu eins f\u00fcr Deutschland. Aber nur, wenn es ihm gelingt, den anderen die Existenz seines zweiten Vornamens in Erinnerung zu rufen.

Er dringt mit seinen Versuchen nicht wirklich durch. Obwohl sein zweiter Vorname auf offiziellen Dokumenten, zum Beispiel auf Sporturkunden, auftaucht, wird ihm nicht dieselbe Bedeutung zugemessen wie seinem Rufnamen. Kein Zweifel, die Erwachsenen sind der \u00dcberzeugung, dass Ijoma der Name ist, der den Jungen am besten bezeichnet \u2013 obwohl alle erst einmal \u00fcber diesen Namen stolpern. Das Stolpern l\u00f6st bei ihm Schamgef\u00fchle aus. Das scheint die anderen nicht zu st\u00f6ren. Es scheint ihnen sogar ein besonderes Vergn\u00fcgen zu bereiten, die unallt\u00e4gliche Sch\u00f6nheit seines Vornamens zu preisen; wenn der Junge dem folgen wollte, m\u00fcsste er sich gl\u00fccklich sch\u00e4tzen, nicht Matthias, Andreas oder Oliver zu hei\u00dfen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
